Important Instructions

Camera Settings:

1. Use the HD mode in the camera

2. For best results, keep the camera in a stationary position - Do not shake the camera!

3. It is must that to keep the camera in "landscape" position

4. Camera lens should be at the average eye level of the people

People Position Settings:

1. Please use a solid color background, preferably light colour

2. Please stand in an area where you have good amount of bright white light

3. Please stand at least 4 feet away from camera

4. The head of the tallest person head must be aligned to the top of the camera screen

Thirukural Rules:

1. If you are single, you can choose any one Thirukural

2. If you are a family of two or more, you can choose consecutive Thirukural. Example: 35, 36 for a family of two, 145,146,147,148 for a family of four

3. One person can tell one Thirukural clearly and a very short explanation of the same

4. The explanation must be understandable to common people

4. Please be louder such that voice is recorded clearly

5. Please avoid english words in the explanation

6. Please do not tell வணக்கம் or any other greetings or chapter name or chapter number or Thirukural number etc. Directly start with Thirukural.

7. Please do not tell நன்றி at the end of the video.

Time Limits:

1. Each person should take less than 15 seconds

2. If you are a family of four, your video should not be more than 60 seconds

3. If the video exceeds the time limit, it will not be considered.

Example Videos:

1. Sample Thirukural video is posted in the main page of this website

Video Upload:

1. The video must be in in .mp4 format with high definition and high clarity

2. Upload the video using the link

3. Only one video is allowed for one family

4. Please use the following filename: KuralPezhai_<KuralNumber>_<Name>.mp4

5. If you have multiple kurals in a file: KuralPezhai_<KuralNumber#1>_<KuralNumber#2>_<Name>.mp4

If the video has not met the expectations, you may to redo it based on MTS request.
